Volleyball posts another sweep with 3-0 victory over John Marshall

Six different players had at least four kills Tuesday to lead Avon’s boys volleyball team to a sweep of host John Marshall. Now 16-5, the Eagles won by the scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-12.

Noah Mai led the way with seven kills, while Landon Gomez and Oliver Dobrovic each had six. Gomez also had three aces and 10 digs. Finn Petzinger had five kills, and John Ling had five kills and five blocks, including two solos. Kyle Partridge added four kills, three blocks and two aces to the Avon effort, while Wesley Cseh had 11 digs and Keegan Tarkany had 27 assists.

Avon finishes the regular season on Friday in hosting Normandy and then travels to Stow on May 13 for a first-round tournament matchup.
