Bay High School Rockets Experience Setback in Non-Conference Matchup Against Gilmour Academy

In an intense regular season non-conference baseball event on April 4, 2025, the Bay High School Varsity Rockets were narrowly defeated by Gilmour Academy with a final score of 4-2. The matchup, which took place at Gilmour Academy under cloudy and cool conditions, showcased tough competition on the field. Despite the persistence of the Rockets, the Lancers of Gilmour Academy managed to clinch the victory. Noteworthy performances from the Rockets included Travis Ropelewski and Johnny Veverka both scoring runs, while Ropelewski along with Charlie Rodgers contributed to the team's RBI totals. Bay's starting pitcher, Ropelewski, showcased resilience throughout the game. Additionally, Ethan Sedivec delivered remarkable performance, impressively stealing two bases. The Rockets displayed commendable teamwork and strategy, keeping fans on edge with key moments that highlighted their relentless efforts. Looking ahead, the Rockets are preparing to face Westlake High School at Westlake Demons on April 7, 2025, as they seek to improve their current record of 0-2.
