Bay High School Rockets Triumph in Sectional Championship Game Against Woodridge
In a commanding performance under sunny skies, the Bay High School Rockets varsity baseball team secured a decisive 7-1 victory over the Woodridge High School Bulldogs on May 24, 2025. The game, which was a crucial Sectional Championship matchup, was hosted at Bay High School, providing a familiar home-field advantage for the Rockets. The Rockets' offensive line-up was explosive right from the start, putting up three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Standout performances included Chase Prudhoe, who not only hit a home run but also scored two runs with one RBI. The team extended their lead to 6-1 by the end of the third inning, demonstrating both strategic hitting and solid defense. In terms of pitching, Travis Ropelewski led the pitching efforts, throwing for six innings with an impressive tally of only one earned run and two hits. Will Schrock closed the game strongly, pitching in the last inning. Several Rockets players were key to the scoreline.
