Bay Varsity Rockets Fall to Lakewood in Cloudy Home Conference Game
In a cloudy showdown at their home field on May 5, 2025, the Bay High School Varsity Rockets baseball team faced a challenging regular season conference game against their rivals, the Lakewood Rangers. The game saw the Rockets unable to secure a win, concluding with a final score of 4-0 in favor of Lakewood.
Will Schrock started on the mound for the Rockets, pitching five innings and conceding four earned runs off seven hits, while striking out four and walking two. Andrew Liatti came in relief, maintaining a clean sheet over two innings but couldn't do enough to swing the momentum back in Bay's favor. Despite their efforts, none of the Rockets players managed to score or notch RBIs, with the game's runs and significant batting contributions coming from the Rangers - C Russell, L Legato, D Jones, and L Soneson, with Soneson securing two RBIs.
