Elgin High School Comets Compete in NWCC Invite #3 at Hidden Creek GC
On the sunny and dry greens of Hidden Creek Golf Course in Lima, Ohio, the Elgin High School Comets showcased their skills in the NWCC Invite #3 golf tournament on September 15, 2025. Competing against teams from the Northwest Central Conference, the varsity boys team participated in an 18-hole stroke play format.
The Comets were led by notable performances from Xavier Compton, who scored a 101, closely followed by Bridon Rhodes with a 103 and Jacob Walker who posted a 105. These scores were crucial in highlighting the team's competitive spirit amid a challenging field.
Looking forward, the Comets are gearing up for their next challenge at the OHSAA Tournament scheduled for September 23 at Darby Creek. The team continues rigorous preparations to maintain and enhance their competitive edge in the upcoming tournaments.
