Elgin High School Comets Golf at NWCC Invite #1
The Elgin High School Comets Golf team participated in the NWCC Invite #1 on August 4, 2025, held at Colonial Golf Club. The varsity boys team competed against various league teams in an 18-hole format and secured a 4th place finish with a total score of 437.
Top performer Logan Isler stood out by shooting a 102, contributing significantly to the team's overall score. The event was held under perfect weather conditions, which provided an ideal environment for all participants.
Coach Yager commented on the team's performance and experience, stating, 'The team continues to get better and is also making memories that they will take with them!' This reflects the positive spirit and development within the team despite the challenging competition.
Looking ahead, the Comets Golf team is set to participate in the Eagle Invite on August 5, 2025. With a current season record of 0-0 in match play, the team is optimistic about improving their standings in the upcoming league invites.
