Elgin High School Comets Secure Victory in Volleyball Face-Off Against Ridgedale Rockets
In a thrilling regular season league game on September 4, 2025, the Elgin High School Comets Girls Varsity Volleyball team secured a win against the Ridgedale High School Rockets with a final score of 3 sets to 1. The match was held at the Elgin Gym, witnessed by an engaged audience who saw the Comets rise to claim another victory in their season.
The first set began with Elgin's commanding performance, finishing at 25-12, setting a strong pace for the game. However, the Rockets bounced back in the second set, edging out Elgin with a close 25-22. Not deterred, the Comets regained their momentum in the third and fourth sets, ending them 25-15 and 25-20 respectively. These winning sets were critical in cementing the Comets' overall victory.
