Elgin High School Comets Varsity Bowling Team Faces Setback Against East Knox
The Elgin High School Comets, the proud varsity girls bowling team, faced a challenging match against the East Knox Bulldogs on November 18, 2025, at Blue Fusion. The Comets, demonstrating a strong spirit, concluded the match with a final score of 1193 against the Bulldogs' 1625.
Alycia King shone brightly for the Comets, marking a team high of 235 across two games, with scores of 104 and 131 in the first and second games, respectively. Despite her outstanding performance, the Comets could not secure a lead. The highlight for the Comets came during Baker Game 2, where they managed to emerge victorious, showcasing their ability to bounce back under pressure. However, this win was not sufficient to overturn the overall lead by the Bulldogs.
The Comets, now standing with a record of 0-1, look ahead to their next opportunity for redemption, scheduled for November 24, 2025, again at Blue Fusion. The team aims to leverage the insights gained from this encounter to enhance their performance in the upcoming challenges.
