Elgin High School Lady Comets Golf Faces Challengers at Three Sticks
The Lady Comets Golf team from Elgin High School competed in a challenging 9-hole varsity girls golf match on August 12, 2025, against Ridgemont HS and Ridgedale HS at Three Sticks GC. Sunny and very warm conditions set the stage for what proved to be an intense day of stroke play competition.
The match concluded with Ridgemont HS securing the lowest score of 135, followed by Elgin High's Lady Comets with a score of 152, and Ridgedale HS rounding out the competition with a score of 160. Miley Corbin led Elgin with a notable performance, scoring 47, the lowest for the team. Other significant contributions came from Kaylee Crist and Natalia Salianas-Villa with scores of 52 and 53 respectively.
Looking forward, the Lady Comets are set to play their next match against North Union at Three Sticks GC on August 13, 2025. The team's continual improvement is evident as they prepare for upcoming challenges in the season.
