Beil Helps Power Grant Union to 48-8 Win Over Enterprise
JOHN_DAY, Ore. - Landyn Beil delivered two interceptions and two touchdowns as Grant Union High School defeated Enterprise 48-8 at home Friday, Oct. 16. The Prospectors paired contributions from multiple scorers with a defense that limited Enterprise to eight points in the varsity league football matchup.
Beil provided the standout defensive performance, taking the ball away twice while also contributing to the offense. His interceptions were part of a collective effort built on players carrying out their assignments. Grant Union's success extended beyond its scoring plays, with the defense helping produce a 40-point margin.
Jack Knowles joined Beil with two touchdowns, giving the Prospectors a pair of players who reached the end zone multiple times. Rowdy Wilson and Jhett Williams each threw one touchdown pass, adding two passing scores to the offensive performance. The contributions spread across those four players gave Grant Union several sources of production rather than leaving the scoring responsibility with a single standout.
The Prospectors finished with 48 points, but the defining feature of the victory was the team effort behind that total. Players fulfilled their individual responsibilities on both sides of the ball, complementing the named scorers and Beil's takeaways.
