Prospector Junior High Volleyball Builds Momentum With 28 Hardworking Athletes
We are excited to begin a new volleyball season with 28 girls bringing energy, athletic ability and positive attitudes to our program. This year’s group includes 13 eighth graders, 13 seventh graders and two sixth graders. Together, they have already shown the work ethic and enthusiasm that make us proud to be Prospectors.
That commitment was evident during the summer, when more than 17 girls regularly participated in open gym. Since practices began, we have focused on building strong fundamentals and developing consistent serving. The girls are now beginning to learn rotations, and their willingness to listen, work and improve has led to visible progress at every practice.
We are also pleased to welcome two new assistant coaches to the program. Their instruction and support will be a great addition as our athletes continue developing their skills and confidence. Several girls are new to volleyball, while others are learning positions they have never played before, giving our coaching staff an important role in helping each athlete grow.
Our next steps will center on improving consistency, communicating on the court and learning to play together as a team. This group has tremendous potential, and its positive attitude provides a strong foundation for the season ahead. If the girls continue working hard and supporting one another, we believe this can be a fun and successful season for Prospector volleyball.
