Junior High Volleyball Celebrates Two Third-Place Tournament Finishes

Dennise Blevins | Grant Union High School | Oct 26, 2026

Our Grant Union High School junior high volleyball team wrapped up the season with two third-place tournament finishes! The girls earned third place at our home tournament on Oct. 17. They followed that performance with another third-place finish in Prairie City, bringing home one more accomplishment from the final tournament of the season.

As coaches, we enjoyed watching this group grow together throughout the year. The girls worked hard to develop their skills and became more confident putting those skills into action. Their willingness to support one another was an important part of that growth, giving us plenty to celebrate beyond the tournament results.

Watching them build confidence, support each other, and put their skills into action has been a highlight of the year.

To our eighth graders, thank you for the leadership you brought to this team and for the memories we shared along the way. We are excited to watch you take the next step into high school volleyball. As you move forward, our current seventh and sixth graders will have new roles to grow into, including becoming leaders and carrying the team’s supportive spirit into next season.

To our families, fans and everyone who supported the girls, thank you for being part of their season. We appreciate the encouragement you gave our players as they learned, competed and grew together. Please join us in congratulating the team and thanking our eighth graders as they prepare for their next chapter.
