Landyn’s Three Touchdowns Lead Prospectors to 44-0 Senior Night Win
JOHN_DAY, Ore. - Grant Union High School celebrated senior night with a 44-0 football victory over Weston-McEwen on Friday, Oct. 23, at home, powered by Landyn’s three rushing touchdowns. The Prospectors’ defense held Weston-McEwen scoreless. It was a winning finish to the home celebration, with Grant Union producing touchdowns both on the ground and through the air.
Landyn led the scoring effort, accounting for three of the Prospectors’ five rushing touchdowns. Jack and Garrett added one rushing touchdown apiece, giving Grant Union three different players who reached the end zone on the ground. That distribution put multiple contributors into the scoring picture rather than leaving the touchdown production to a single runner.
Rowdy connected with Jhett for Grant Union’s passing touchdown, adding another way to finish an offensive possession. Together, the five rushing scores and the touchdown pass gave the Prospectors six touchdowns for the night. Landyn supplied half of that total, while Jack, Garrett and Jhett each contributed a scoring finish of their own.
The entire defense shared credit for the shutout, delivering a collective performance that kept Weston-McEwen off the scoreboard throughout the senior-night contest.
