Prospectors Power Past Colton 42-12 With Five Rushing Touchdowns
JOHN_DAY, Ore. - Grant Union High School turned five rushing touchdowns into a 42-12 football victory over Colton on Friday, Oct. 30, at Colton High School. Landyn led the scoring with three touchdowns on the ground. The Prospectors completed the long road trip with a 30-point win, pairing their rushing production with a defense that allowed just two scores.
Landyn accounted for half of Grant Union’s six touchdowns, providing the largest individual share of the scoring. Jack added a rushing touchdown, while Rowdy also reached the end zone on the ground. Those contributions gave the Prospectors three rushing scorers rather than leaving all of the touchdown production to one player.
Grant Union also found the end zone through the air, with Rowdy throwing a touchdown pass to Jehtt. The connection supplied the Prospectors’ lone passing touchdown and gave Rowdy both a passing and a rushing score. With Jehtt joining the three rushing scorers, four different players reached the end zone for Grant Union.
The Prospectors complemented those offensive contributions with a collective defensive effort. While the offense produced six touchdowns, Colton managed only two scores against Grant Union’s defense. That team performance on the other side of the ball helped the Prospectors finish their trip with a decisive result, holding Colton to 12 points.
