Holy Name High School Girls Tennis Faces Narrow Defeat at North Olmsted
In a gripping regular season tennis match on yesterday, Holy Name Girls Tennis team was edged out by North Olmsted High School with a final score of 2-3. Held at North Olmsted, the competition showcased intense rallies and standout performances, particularly in the singles matches. Holy Name's first singles player, Lauren Bleakley, delivered a riveting performance, stretching her match to three sets (5-7, 6-3, 7-5). In the third singles match, Gianna Brozak also pushed her opponent to the limit in a close three-setter (2-6, 6-4, 5-7). Additionally, Grace Langford was notable for her tenacity, particularly in a challenging second set, pushing the scoreline to a near win at 5-7. The match, extending over three hours, was noted by the team as the season's longest, highlighting the endurance and determination of the players. "This was by far our longest match at over 3 hours. I'm very proud of the girls' effort and fortitude," praised the coach, acknowledging the team's spirit and performance.
