Holy Name High School Golf Team Secures Victory at Royal Crest Golf Club

In an impressive display of skill and endurance, the Holy Name High School varsity golf team clinched a victory over Eastlake North Rangers on August 27, 2024, at the Royal Crest Golf Club. The scorcher of a day, marked by sunny, hot, and humid conditions, saw Holy Name posting a team score of 170 against the Rangers' 177 in this head-to-head dual.

Leading the charge for Holy Name was Tommy Cardenas, who shot a 40, closely followed by Dom Marchetta with a 41, and Sean Gorczyca, who notched a score of 43. Their performances were vital in the team's success on such a challenging day. Additional commendable efforts came from Blake Feliciano and Michael Oleksik, who shot 46 and 47 respectively, while Grayson Bricely recorded a 55.

Assistant Coach Jason Reed expressed his pride in the team's performance amidst tough weather conditions. "Very proud of the team battling the heat and humidity this afternoon. They stayed focus and were able to post some good scores on a challenging day," said Reed. This win boosts Holy Name's record to 2-1 in dual match play for the season.

Looking ahead, the team is set to face Fairview in another dual match on September 4, 2024, at Royal Crest. The victory at Royal Crest Golf Club has set a positive tone as the team prepares for their next challenge.
