Kelso Shuts Out Camas 6-0 Behind Four-Run Fourth Inning

KELSO, Wash. - Kelso High School used a four-run fourth inning to pull away from Camas High School for a 6-0 slow-pitch softball victory Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Kelso. The decisive rally extended a two-run lead, while Kelso's pitching and defense kept Camas off the scoreboard throughout the seven-inning game.
After a scoreless first inning, Kelso opened the scoring with one run in the second and added another in the third for a 2-0 advantage. The offense then broke through for four runs in the fourth, accounting for the rest of the game's scoring. Kelso did not score over the final three innings, but Camas could not cut into the six-run margin.
Addy Heuer and Gabby Muro each finished 2-for-3 to lead Kelso's offensive production. Addy Heuer singled, doubled and scored once, providing the extra-base hit among the five highlighted batting performances. Gabby Muro contributed two singles, scored twice and drove in one run, combining multiple hits with a team-leading two runs among those contributors.
