Providence Takes Third at St. Luke’s Tournament With 2-1 Record
Providence Catholic School’s Middle School Volleyball A Team earned third place at the St. Luke’s Volleyball Tournament, completing an impressive 2-1 run Friday at St. Luke MS in San Antonio. The Provets collected two victories during the tournament and distinguished themselves with determined, team-first play throughout the competition.
Across three matches, Providence Catholic played hard, trusted one another and competed together on every point. The players stayed connected through demanding rallies and pressure-filled moments, showing the composure needed to finish among the tournament’s top three teams. Each match provided another chance for the Provets to grow as a unit and build confidence ahead of district competition.
The third-place finish reflected the team’s ability to respond to challenges over a full tournament schedule. Providence Catholic balanced the excitement of two victories with the lessons from its lone setback, maintaining its effort and belief from match to match. That resilience helped the Provets close the event with a podium finish and plenty of momentum.
Iliana Valle ‘31 added an individual honor to the team’s successful weekend by earning a place on the All-Tournament Team. Her recognition highlighted her performance during the event while also adding another proud moment to Providence Catholic’s third-place showing.
The Provets now turn their attention toward district competition after a tournament performance built on effort, unity and consistent competition. The Middle School Volleyball A Team returns home Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, to face St. Anthony’s at 6 p.m. CDT, carrying forward the confidence earned from a 2-1 tournament record.
