Jaguar Volleyball Rallies Past Perrysburg in Five-Set Thriller

Jaguar Volleyball erased a two-set deficit and defeated Perrysburg 3-2 on Saturday at Perrysburg High School, completing the comeback with consecutive aces from Milani Marrero '27 in a dramatic fifth set. The Jaguars won 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-9, 16-14 after Perrysburg claimed the first two sets.
The teams traded points throughout the opening sets, with Perrysburg creating enough separation to take the first 25-19. The Jaguars stayed close in the second and pushed Perrysburg deep into the set, but the hosts prevailed 25-23 to move within one set of the match. Even after falling behind 2-0, Saint Joseph Academy continued to compete and did not allow the match to slip away.
Isabel Falk '28 entered in the third set and helped change the direction of the match. She finished with 14 kills, giving the Jaguars an attacking presence as they fought back to win the third 25-20. The response kept the match alive and gave Jaguar Volleyball momentum heading into the fourth.
