Strasburg posted a team score of 182 and finished third in a boys golf tri-match Friday at Claymont in Uhrichsville, Ohio. Claymont won the July 31 match with a 153, while Conotton Valley secured second place at 178.
Gavin Weaver led Strasburg with a 41, the Tigers’ lowest round of the match. Jeffery Secrest followed one stroke behind with a 42, giving Strasburg two scores in the low 40s and a combined 83 from the top of its lineup.
Henry Hershberger added a 46, finishing within five strokes of Strasburg’s team-leading round. Lathen Culbertson completed the Tigers’ scoring with a 53. The four individual rounds added up exactly to Strasburg’s 182 team total.
