MIDVALE, Ohio - Tusky Valley posted a team score of 162 to defeat Strasburg 198 on Aug. 13, with Lily Lyons leading the Tigers by shooting a 39. Tusky Valley finished 36 strokes ahead in the varsity girls golf match.
Lily Lyons recorded Strasburg's lowest round and was the only Tigers golfer to break 40. Her 39 gave Strasburg a strong score at the top of its lineup and finished eight strokes ahead of the team's next-lowest round.
Lily Shepler followed with a 47, providing the Tigers with their second score under 50. The rounds from Lily Lyons and Lily Shepler combined for 86 strokes, accounting for the strongest half of Strasburg's four-player team total.
Allie Koprivec added a 53, while Lora Abdel Basset completed Strasburg's scoring with a 59. The four rounds added up precisely to the Tigers' final total of 198, with 20 strokes separating Strasburg's lowest and highest individual scores.
