In a stunning display of skills and strategy, the Winton Woods High School Girls Varsity Basketball team clinched the District Finals title against Loveland with a triumphant 70-38 victory on February 22, 2025, at Mason High School. The Warriors showcased their prowess throughout the competition, maintaining a consistent lead and wrapping up an undefeated season record now standing at 23-0.

Leading the scoring for the Warriors were Daniah Trammell with 13 points, followed closely by Strawberry Blankumsee, Rakiyah Prince, and Whitley Davis, each contributing 12 points. Niyala Harmon also added 10 points, ensuring the team's commanding performance. Notably, nine different players scored during the game, highlighting the depth and versatility of the team.

The Warriors established a strong lead by halftime, commanding the scoreboard at 34-18. They continued their dominance into the second half, notably outscoring the Tigers 22-2 in the fourth quarter, sealing their victory and the championship title. This strategic overrun in the final quarter underscored their defensive and offensive strengths, leaving a memorable mark on the finals.

Looking ahead, the Warriors will face St. Ursula at Princeton High School on February 25, hoping to continue their unbeaten streak. As the team progresses, they carry not only the momentum of this significant win but also the high spirits depicted in their celebrated title of 'District Champions'.
