Winton Woods Warriors Clinch District Finals in Dominant Win Over Loveland
In a stunning display of skills and strategy, the Winton Woods High School Girls Varsity Basketball team clinched the District Finals title against Loveland with a triumphant 70-38 victory on February 22, 2025, at Mason High School. The Warriors showcased their prowess throughout the competition, maintaining a consistent lead and wrapping up an undefeated season record now standing at 23-0.
Leading the scoring for the Warriors were Daniah Trammell with 13 points, followed closely by Strawberry Blankumsee, Rakiyah Prince, and Whitley Davis, each contributing 12 points. Niyala Harmon also added 10 points, ensuring the team's commanding performance. Notably, nine different players scored during the game, highlighting the depth and versatility of the team.
The Warriors established a strong lead by halftime, commanding the scoreboard at 34-18. They continued their dominance into the second half, notably outscoring the Tigers 22-2 in the fourth quarter, sealing their victory and the championship title.
