WCA Honors 46 All-State Tennis Players as Cheyenne Central Sweeps Team Championships
The Wyoming Coaches Association proudly recognizes 46 student-athletes from 11 schools as our 2026 All-State Tennis selections, honoring their performances at the WHSAA State Tennis Championships in Gillette. Cheyenne Central captured both the boys and girls team championships and led the All-State selections with 16 honorees, followed by Kelly Walsh with 10. All-State recognition follows WCA guidelines: the top six finishers in No. 1 singles, the top three in No. 2 singles, the top three teams in No. 1 doubles, and the top two teams in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
In girls No. 1 singles, All-State honors go to Caroline Brokaw of Jackson, Rylin Arnell of Green River, Rio Barr of Cheyenne South, Claire Arens of Laramie, Lauren Bradfield of Kelly Walsh and Cailyn Smedley of Cheyenne Central. Girls No. 2 singles honorees are Lauren O’Donnell of Cheyenne Central, Whitney Bradfield of Kelly Walsh and Sara Lester of Natrona. Boys No. 1 singles selections are Ben Bujans of Sheridan, William Freyman of Jackson, Leland Jenkins of Campbell County, Jackson Moore of Thunder Basin, David Smedley of Cheyenne Central and Tyler Crecelius of Cheyenne East. Boys No. 2 singles honors go to Sam Smedley of Cheyenne Central, Luke Gentile of Jackson and Blake Ligocki of Sheridan.
The girls doubles selections recognize teammates across three divisions. No. 1 doubles honorees are Lia Schaffer and Zuri Saunders of Cheyenne Central, Olivia Wilson and Emma Sherman of Kelly Walsh, and Ava Krueger and Dylan McMullen of Laramie. In No. 2 doubles, Abby Hager and Kaidence Boyles of Kelly Walsh join Kamaile Reed and Taylor Trautwien of Cheyenne Central. No. 3 doubles recognition goes to Hailey Larson and Mackenzie Nokes of Kelly Walsh, along with Sakura Joelson and Harley McRady of Cheyenne Central.
Boys No. 1 doubles honors go to Landon Jones and Michael Smedley of Cheyenne Central, Oliver Steinberg and Finn Beninga of Jackson, and Kyle Miller and Bridger Haigler of Natrona. The No. 2 doubles selections are Gavin Larson and Kamden Porter of Kelly Walsh, along with Kaden Kean and Keegan Schmidt of Cheyenne Central. In No. 3 doubles, Tyler Trimble and Henry Lance of Cheyenne Central join William Alexander and James Drever of Laramie among this year’s All-State honorees.
Cheyenne Central’s girls repeated as team champions, while its boys claimed the title held by Sheridan last year. Alongside those team accomplishments, this year’s All-State awards celebrate the time and effort these student-athletes have devoted to honing their craft. It is our honor to recognize that hard work and share this achievement with their coaches, families and school communities. Congratulations to every honoree and to the member schools they represent.
