Avon Eagles Triumph Over North Ridgeville Rangers in a Dominant Display
The Avon Eagles clinched a decisive victory against the North Ridgeville Rangers on January 25, 2025, at Avon High School. The highly anticipated Southwestern Conference varsity game concluded with the Eagles outscoring the Rangers 42-23, bolstering Avon's season record to an impressive 15-3. From the onset, the Eagles established a strong lead, finishing the first half ahead with a 19-10 score. Junior Abby Owens was a standout performer, scoring an impressive 18 points, while Sophomore Alaina Pagan supported with a solid 7 points, contributing significantly to their team's dominance. The strategic gameplay and relentless effort from every player was evident and pivotal in securing the win. Ava Mitchell expressed staying calm, show more aggressiveness on both sides of the ball and speed to beat the Rangers down the floor as keys to the game and all of those led to the victory for the Eagles!!" Senior Amelia Holbrook had some key rebounds and some amazing passes to lead the Eagles onto Victory. The Avon Eagles, currently standing strong with a 15-3 record, look forward to their next challenge against the Lorain Titans at Avon High School on January 29th as this will Senior Night for the Eagles.
