Avon High School Falls to Elyria in Hard-Fought Basketball Clash
In a tightly contested Southwest Conference basketball game, the Avon Eagles faced off against their inter-conference rival, the Elyria Pioneers, on January 11, 2025, at Avon High School. Despite a spirited performance, the Eagles fell to the Pioneers with a final score of 58-48. The game started competitively, but the first half concluded with Elyria leading 29-14. Avon High's top scorers were Joey Ziegler, who notched 11 points, and both Nolan Good and Ali Jaber, who contributed 10 points each.
