Avon Varsity Eagles Soar Past Wooster in 1st Round Playoff
The Avon High School Eagles secured a commanding 71-47 victory over the Wooster Generals in the latest chapter of their varsity basketball playoffs on Feb. 28. The 1st round playoff game saw the Eagles taking off right from the start and establishing a 32-26 halftime lead, a momentum that they carried through to the final buzzer. Top scorers Nate Farley and Tyson Ziegler, each contributing 14 points, and Zane Austin with 9 points, played pivotal roles in advancing the Eagles to the next round. This victory elevates the team's season record to 15-8. With a quick turnaround, the next challenge for the Avon High School Varsity Eagles is a gameup against Twinsburg, set to take place at home on March 2 at 7 p.m.
