Avon volleyball moves to 2-0 with sweep of Garfield Heights
For the second time in as many matches, freshman Noah Mai led the way, as Avon’s boys volleyball team posted a sweep of visiting Garfield Heights Tuesday. Winning by scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-15, the Eagles are now 2-0.
Mai topped the team with six kills and five aces and also had five digs. Logan Lam, Kyle Partridge and John Ling each added five kills for Avon, and Lam also had six assists and Ling had two aces. Keegan Tarkany led the Eagles with nine assists and six digs, while Oliver Dobrovic controlled the net with three solo blocks.
Avon will be in action again on Tuesday when they host Amherst.
