Boys tennis blanks North Ridgeville in 5-0 sweep

Coming off a sixth-place finish at the high-powered St. Edward Invitational, Avon’s boys tennis team almost completed a complete shutout of North Ridgeville Monday, giving up just one game in the three matches that were played.

Aarav Kishorepuria took a 6-0, 6-0 decision at first singles, as did the first doubles team of Carter Free and Owen Kovacs. Blake Netschke won second singles by the scores of 6-0, 6-1, and Avon won the other two matches by forfeit.

The Eagles, now 2-0, will play at Westlake on Tuesday.
