Boys Tennis defeats Midview in 5-0 SWC sweep
Aarav Kishorepuria lost only two points in the entire match at first singles Monday, leading Avon’s boys tennis team to a 5-0 victory over visiting Midview in Southwestern Conference play.
The sophomore completed the first set without losing a point—called a golden set—on his way to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. At second singles, Blake Netschke was nearly as successful as his teammate, losing just four points in a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Third singles also was a whitewash for Avon, with Ashton Schwanger taking a 6-0, 6-0 decision.
In doubles play, Caleb Free and Grant Nagy took a 6-2, 6-4 decision at first doubles, and Bidwat Mishra and Jaxen Springer won at second doubles, 6-2, 6-1.
Next on the schedule for the Eagles is a match at SWC foe Amherst on Wednesday.
