Defense shines as boys lacrosse handles Medina, 8-5
Led by goalie Lucas Deacon, Avon’s defense was dominant in an 8-5 victory Saturday over host Medina. Deacon had 24 saves as the Eagles upped their record to 7-3.
Fin Jerdonek and Will Conley carried the Avon offense, as each had three goals and Jerdonek also had two assists. Jude Theibert added one goal and one assist, Jace Barton had a goal, and Jackson Brokaw had two assists.
The Eagles return to action Monday when they host Olmsted Falls.
