Eagles back to winning ways with shutout of Berea-Midpark
By Joe Magill Avon exploded for four goals in the first half and then cruised to a 6-0 victory Wednesday over host Berea-Midpark in Southwestern Conference boys soccer action. The Eagles are now 5-2 overall and 3-0 in SWC play. Junior London Carnie led the way with two goals in the first half and an assist in the second half. Sophomore Connor Britt had a goal in each half, Mark Dushaj had two assists, Brock Harman and Liam Viers each had a goal and Vincent Palumbo and Kyle Delury each had an assist. It was the first varsity goal for Viers, as the junior placed a free kick into the upper right corner of the goal late in the game. Next on the schedule for the Eagles is a trip to Mentor on Monday.
