Eagles fall to Explorers in the District Final

In a decisive District Final showdown, the Hudson Explorers emerged victorious with a compelling 59-40 win over the Avon Eagles at Medina High School on February 22, 2025. Despite the Avon Eagles' efforts to bridge the gap, the Explorers maintained their lead, culminating in a final score of 59-40. This win advances the Hudson Explorers' season and unfortunately brings the Eagles season to a bitter close with a final record to an impressive 17-7. Amelia Holbrook, the lone senior and a prominent player for the Eagles, shared her thoughts after the game, "This is not the results we wanted but I'm grateful for all my coaches and teammates for an amazing career and season due to the fact that they reached their second district final in the last 5 years," showing appreciation for her team's effort and the journey they have shared.
