Eagles finish second overall in SWC boys golf
The Avon boys golf team finished second overall in the Southwestern Conference standings after placing in a tie for fourth in the end-of-season tournament Thursday at Grey Hawk Golf Club in Lagrange. The overall conference championship is determined by a point system that weighs the SWC mid-season and end-of-season tournaments 30% each and the SWC preview and the regular season dual matches 20% each. When the points were all added up, Olmsted Falls was crowned as champions with 38¼ points to 36¾ for the Eagles. Avon was followed by Amherst (34½), Berea-Midpark (30), Avon Lake (27¼), North Ridgeville (26) and Midview (17.5).
