Harman’s four goals lead Eagles past Midview, 7-2
Visiting Midview pushed the Avon boys soccer team for a half, but Brock Harman took over in the second half as the Eagles pulled away to a 7-2 victory Wednesday in Southwestern Conference action. Harman, who had a hat trick in Monday’s victory at Mentor, scored Avon’s first goal of the match and then added three more in the second half as the Eagles upped their record to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in SWC action. Midview opened the scoring just 4 minutes into the match and later tied the score at two after Harman and London Carnie found the nets for the Eagles. Mark Dushaj gave Avon a 3-2 lead late in the first half off an assist from Carnie, leading to Avon’s second-half goal explosion that saw the Eagles score four times in just over 14 minutes. First Harman scored with Mateo Muratore assisting, and Harman then scored from an assist by Kyle Delury. Following a successful penalty kick by Logan Fitchko, Harman added his final goal without an assist. Next on the schedule for the Eagles is a trip to Westlake on Monday.
