Parker's six goals help Eagles come back to edge Rocky River

Visiting Avon fell behind, 5-1, in Thursday’s girls lacrosse game at Rocky River, but freshman midfielder Brailynn Parker scored six goals to lead the Eagles to a come-from-behind 11-10 victory. Ashlyn Hider and Ella Schaffer had 2 goals and Mia Della Vella added one. It was the first loss for the Pirates in Northern Ohio Lacrosse League play in 18 games, dating back to late March in 2023.

While Parker led the offense, goalie Megan Wise made several crucial stops, including two in the final quarter as the 3-1 Eagles held on for the victory, their first over Rocky River since 2021.

Next on the schedule for Avon is a home encounter with Brunswick on April 9.
