After a scoreless first half, Avon scored twice in the second half to take a 2-0 decision over host Amherst Wednesday in Southwestern Conference girls soccer action. It was the 10th consecutive match without a loss for the Eagles, now 9-2-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
Senior forward Ella Graham broke through with the first goal for Avon and then junior Sydney Thomas added the second. Paige Millet had an assist as well for the Eagles.
Next on the schedule for Avon is a home match Monday against SWC foe Olmsted Falls.
