Volleyball team sweeps Avon Lake to up record to 12-2

The Avon boys volleyball team won its 12th match in 14 tries Friday, sweeping past visiting Avon Lake by the scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-15.

Senior Oliver Dobrovic led the Eagles with three kills and a block, while Noah Mai, Kyle Partridge and Finn Petzinger each had two kills. Mai added six digs to the effort, Partridge had four dig, and Keegan Tarkany had five assists. Avon also had 12 aces in the match with five different players having two each.

The Eagles next play at Amherst on Tuesday.
