Volleyball team sweeps Brecksville, now 7-1

Winning their fourth consecutive match on the road, the Avon Eagles swept past host Brecksville-Broadview Heights Thursday, winning by the scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-23, to move to 7-1 on the season.

Noah Mai led the Avon hitting attack with nine kills, followed by Landon Gomez with eight, Kyle Partridge with six and Finn Petzinger with four. Partridge led the team with three aces and also had 13 digs, while Gomez added a team-high 15 digs and Mai had 10. In addition, Keegan Tarkany had 25 assists and 2 aces, and Gavyn Kittelberger had three blocks.

The Eagles will be participating in a quadrangular match at Sylvania Northview on Saturday with Amherst and Walled Lake Western from Michigan.
