Volleyball team sweeps past Shaker Heights to go to 11-2
Landon Gomez had a strong all-around game Thursday, leading host Avon’s boys volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep over Shaker Heights. With the victory, the Eagles are now 11-2.
Gomez had six kills, three aces, three blocks and 15 digs as Avon got back on the winning track. Finn Petzinger also had six kills for the Eagles, while Kyle Partridge had five kills, Keegan Tarkany had 15 assists, and Noah Mai had four kills and four aces.
Next on the schedule for Avon is a home match Friday against Avon Lake.
