Bay Girls Lacrosse rolls past Olmsted Falls, 15-7, behind Fitchpatrick's six-goal night
Bay High School's girls lacrosse team earned a 15-7 road win over Olmsted Falls in conference play Tuesday, using a balanced attack and steady work in goal to take control. The Rockets got a game-high six goals from Gracie Fitchpatrick and never let Olmsted Falls close the gap for long once Bay's offense found its rhythm.
Layla Meaux added four goals and one assist, giving Bay a second high-volume scorer who helped stretch the lead as the game developed. Jill Tennant directed much of the attack with one goal and four assists, while Nolie Piktel finished with two goals and one assist. Hadley Clark also scored for the Rockets, who spread the offense across multiple players and consistently turned possessions into scoring chances.
The decisive edge came from Bay's ability to pair finishing with playmaking. Fitchpatrick supplied the biggest scoring punch, but Tennant's four assists helped the Rockets keep the ball moving and create clean looks throughout the four quarters. Meaux and Piktel added to that pressure, giving Olmsted Falls several different threats to account for as Bay pushed its total to 15 goals.
In net, Sophia Crimaldi anchored the win with 13 saves. Her performance helped Bay manage the stretches when Olmsted Falls generated pressure and kept the home side from making a serious second-half push. With Crimaldi turning away shots and the offense continuing to convert, the Rockets maintained control of the scoreboard and finished off the eight-goal victory.
Bay's production reflected a complete team effort, especially on the offensive end, where the Rockets combined scoring and assists effectively in a conference matchup away from home. With Fitchpatrick leading the finishers, Tennant setting the table and Crimaldi closing off chances in goal, Bay left Olmsted Falls with a convincing 15-7 result.
